Ball Valves

For unobstructed flow and
reliable shut-off in pipeline systems.

Low pressure drop – ideal for viscous and delicate media.

The principle: Unobstructed flow and leak-tight sealing

Ball valves are shut-off devices that regulate flow using a perforated ball. A 90° rotation either fully opens the unobstructed bore of the pipeline or seals it completely, ensuring bubble-tight shut-off. This design minimizes pressure loss and makes ball valves an ideal choice for applications requiring gentle media handling.

Technical features and advantages

For a well-informed selection, here is a concise overview of the key specifications of our ball valves.

Advantages of our ball valves

  • Full bore: The unobstructed flow path minimizes pressure loss and is ideally suited for viscous, contaminated, or sensitive media.

  • Superior sealing performance: The design enables an exceptionally tight shut-off (virtually zero leakage), enhancing both system efficiency and operational safety.

  • Robust longevity: The simple and proven design ensures reliable, low-maintenance operation for many years.

  • Versatile automation options: In addition to manual operation, all ball valves are available with high-performance pneumatic or electric actuators, including fail-safe functions.

Typical areas of application

  • Water treatment and drinking water installations

  • Mechanical and plant engineering

  • Chemical, oil and gas industry

  • Heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC)

Available configurations

  • Types: As 2-way (on/off) or 3-way ball valves (for mixing or distributing media flows).

  • Operating methods: Manually via hand lever as well as with pneumatic or electric motor drives.

  • Materials: Housing made of brass, stainless steel and plastics for various media and requirements.

Our three main categories

  • 1. Hand ball valves: The robust standard solution for manual shut-off.

  • 2. Automated ball valves: The efficient solution for seamless integration into your control technology.

  • 3. Special ball valves: Certified special solutions for critical applications (e.g. drinking water, gas, high pressure).
