Safety barriers are used as separating stages without galvanic isolation between intrinsically safe and non-intrinsically safe circuits. By incorporating a safety barrier, it is possible to install level sensors in potentially explosive areas.
The safety barrier and the level controller must be installed outside the potentially explosive area.

Functional description: The two-channel INTRINSPAK safety barriers of the 9002 series ensure the intrinsically safe operation of almost all field devices. The extensive portfolio and the combination of safety barriers cover a wide range of signals. The devices are highly robust and require very little space. A convenient feature is the uniform back-up fuse for all variants.
