Metal valves
Robust and precise valve technology for industrial processes.
The reliable choice for the highest demands
Metal valves are indispensable in many industries. Whether in plant engineering, process engineering, or filling technology – they impress with their robustness, durability, and reliability, even under the most demanding operating conditions.
-
The solenoid actuator opens or closes the valve directly without auxiliary pressure. Ideal for vacuum, smaller nominal diameters, and applications that require operation from 0 bar.
-
The solenoid actuator controls only a small pilot hole. The pressure of the medium itself does most of the work and opens the valve. Ideal for: Large nominal diameters with low energy consumption. Requires a minimum pressure differential.
-
This principle combines both advantages. The valve is permanently coupled to the solenoid actuator and is supported by the medium pressure when needed. Ideal for: Applications with changing pressure conditions, as it is fully functional from 0 bar.
Available control types
Types:
-
2/2-way valves: These valves have two ports and two switching positions that effectively control the flow.
-
3/2-way valves: With three ports and two switching positions, these valves are often used to control double-acting cylinders.
-
5/2-way valves: These valves have five ports and two switching positions, allowing precise flow control in complex systems.
Functions:
Normally closed (NC): In this setting, the valve remains closed when at rest and opens when power is applied.
Normally open (NO): Here the valve remains open in the resting state and closes as soon as power is applied.
Overview of housing materials
-
Brass: Popular for its excellent corrosion resistance and strength, brass is a commonly used material in many applications.
-
Stainless steel 1.4305 (V2A steel): This stainless steel impresses with good corrosion resistance and easy cleaning, which makes it versatile.
-
Stainless steel 1.4571 (V4A steel): With even higher corrosion resistance than V2A steel, this material is particularly suitable for demanding operating conditions.
-
Aluminum: Lightweight yet strong, aluminum is ideal for applications where low weight is crucial.
-
Gunmetal: This copper-tin alloy is known for its high wear resistance and is used in demanding environments.
-
Grey cast iron GG25: A material with excellent thermal conductivity and wear resistance, often used in industry.
-
Cast steel GS-C25N: A high-strength steel that is ideal for demanding applications due to its good weldability and toughness.
